You will begin to see removal results within 48 hours for some data broker websites, while others may take weeks to remove. Stubborn sites may ask for additional information and require us to follow up with them.

People search websites and data brokers scrape social media platforms, Google search results, and public records (voting records, housing deeds, marriage certificates, and obituaries) for your leaked personal information. Your age, home address, phone number, email address, and relatives are examples of private information these brokers can find from publicly available sources. We can reduce your online presence by removing your private information from Google search results and preventing social media companies from selling your data, but mePrism cannot completely remove you from the internet. We do not remove passwords from sites such as your shopping sites or your bank account. We also do not remove media or blogs about you.

We use the same encryption protocols used by banks and governments to secure their data. We do not sell your data, and we are not affiliated with data brokers. We adhere to the highest industry standards of data security and are SOC2 compliant.

mePrism needs your personal information to locate your data that has been exposed by data brokers. The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to find your records on people search sites and avoid results that are not yours. For example, by providing previous addresses and alternative names, we can locate profiles with your outdated information that would otherwise be undetected. Providing additional cities and states ensure that we do not miss any of your profiles.

We need your written consent to act as your authorized privacy agent in order to remove your private information from many of the major people search sites, With your consent, we act on your behalf to exercise your rights under existing state privacy laws such as CCPA, VCDPA, and UCPA to remove your personal information from these sites. This authorization letter is solely for the purpose of removing your data from people search sites; you are only authorizing us to complete this specific task.

Our social media privacy controls allow you to manage your social media privacy preferences in one place. Changing your privacy controls in mePrism will also change the settings in your social media accounts (Google, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter). Stopping these companies from collecting and selling your data to prevent advertisers from serving you targeted ads without changing the rest of your experience, though the total number of ads you see may remain the same. Social media companies make this difficult to do on your own. We make it easy.

You must log in to your individual accounts to use mePrism’s tools to manage your privacy settings, and stop social media companies from collecting and selling your data,. mePrism does not store your credentials.

You can cancel your mePrism Privacy subscription at any time. We offer prorated refunds on all annual subscriptions.

You can do it yourself for free by following each brokers’ opt out process on their website. Each data broker has its own opt-out process, and requesting that each website remove your personal information is time consuming. mePrism can do this on your behalf and monitor the internet for future data exposures.

You can track your deletion progress on the web app or mobile app, including the removal status of each data broker that has exposed your information. We also send monthly reports summarizing your progress.
